This website, scienceofsound.in, is run by Science of Sound, an acoustic design practice in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

The pages on this site — including the Learn chapters, schematics and worked examples — explain general principles of acoustics and room design. They are not advice for your particular room. Every room is different, and decisions about a real project should be made with a design that has been worked out for that room.

Where we quote a figure from a standard, a published paper or a manufacturer’s data, we link the source. A standard named on this site is a design reference — the source of a target — not a claim of certification, compliance testing or a test result.

Drawings and schematics on the site illustrate a principle or a type of room. They are not measurement data and not drawings of a specific project unless the page says so.

We work to keep the information correct and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or free of errors. If you find a figure that does not match its source, tell us at scienceofsoundhyd@gmail.com — we would rather correct it than defend it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss arising from relying on general information on this site without a project-specific design.

Nothing on this website is an offer to supply work or equipment, and the site shows no prices. Sending an enquiry does not create a contract or oblige either of us to anything.

Work starts only when we have both agreed a written quotation or agreement, and that document sets the scope, fees, deliverables and terms for the project.

The text, drawings, diagrams, photographs and design of this website belong to Science of Sound unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to read, print and share links to pages for your own use. Please do not copy, republish or sell our content, drawings or photographs without our written permission.

Names of standards, products and brands belong to their owners; mentioning them does not mean an endorsement or a partnership unless the page says so.

We link to standards bodies, research papers and manufacturers so you can check the sources yourself. Those sites are run by others; we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
