What a screening room has to get right
A screening room is a reference: decisions made in it travel to every copy of the finished work. That puts the burden on consistency — from seat to seat, and from session to session.
We design the room's acoustics and isolation together with the screen and loudspeaker geometry, then verify the finished room by measurement so the reference is one you can trust.

Questions
Common questions
How is a screening room different from a home theatre?
The engineering is similar; the purpose is not. A screening room is a reference for professional decisions, so consistency between seats, repeatability between sessions and a documented calibration matter more than the experience of any one seat.
Does the screen affect the acoustics?
Yes. An acoustically transparent screen lets loudspeakers sit behind the image where they belong, but it has to be matched to the speakers and the treatment behind it. A solid screen forces the speakers elsewhere, which changes the design.
How quiet does the room need to be?
Quiet enough that the lowest level detail in the programme is audible, which usually means treating the air-conditioning and equipment as an acoustic problem from the start rather than an afterthought.
Can you work to a specific standard?
If your work requires a particular standard or recommended practice, tell us which one at the brief stage and we will design and verify against it. We don't claim compliance with anything we haven't measured.
